Support Our Cause

Our charity has relied on the innate generosity of Filipinos for over a hundred years. For as little as Php 6,000.00, you can guarantee the health and wellbeing of a Mother and her young child for one year.

About Us

La Proteccion de la Infancia, Inc.,

historically known as Gota de Leche, is the oldest citizen-led charity organization in the Philippines, registered in 1907. Established by feminists and patriots in Manila in 1906, it has provided nutrition support to malnourished children and breastfeeding mothers for over a century, maintaining operations through World War II, epidemics, and disasters. The organization’s notable achievements include founding the first non-commercial dairy farm, the first puericulture and health centers, and the Manila Children’s Hospital in 1946. Following Supertyphoon Haiyan in 2013, Gota de Leche initiated relief programs with NGO partners, aiding thousands of vulnerable families across various regions.
Registered with the Department of Social Welfare and Development, it is authorized to receive donations and implement government-funded projects. The organization operates from the historic, Gota de Leche Heritage Building in Manila, recognized by UNESCO and declared an Important Cultural Property in 2014.
